I can not find a record of the death of James A Downs born 1805 in SC and died while living in Tallapoosa, AL. I do know he was in the Civil War. Everyone is showing the date in 1872 however there is no record of that date that I have been able to locate. I know his wife Dorcas Denny move back to Marshall County with her daughter Susan and her husband George Heard
