I'm helping a friend connect her lines to Geni. She's descended from tJoseph Lawrence Schochler. This is a duplicate
But it's confusing because both this and the duplicate have his name as Francois Joseph Schöchlin, so he's showing up as both Joseph Lawrence and Francois Joseph. He can't have both names, right? Ancestry trees just have him as Joseph Lawrence Schochler.
I tried to merge the two profiles but one must be locked or something because I was unable to merge them. Assistance with that and fixing his name to only show one name would be much appreciated.
