After another member called this to my attention, I did some looking at the 'counterpart' profiles & records on FamilySearch.org. I'm currently at the state of thinking that there are 5 different James Lowry's involved ... and some children which may have been erroneously attached to them.
This is not based on exhaustive research, but simply a starting point for further work to be supported or disproved by other records and/or DNA evidence. This FindAGrave entry mentions a lot of records of various James': FindAGrave # 207350535 (Elder James Lowry on FindAGrave)

May have been born in Georgia. A lot of 'discussion/research' on the FindAGrave profile related to other James Lowry's.

The children of this couple seem to be of Georgia.
To me, it was the children's birth dates and places which led me to thinking they are separate persons -- along with the records noted in the "Elder James" FindAGrave memorial.
