Chanea Cofer is enumerated on the 1767Granville County, North Carolina Census, Edward Goings was living adjacent to James Cofer who had to pay a poll tax on his wife Chaney Coffer (no maiden name given) Chaney, relict of said Cofer, later sold adjoining property and then married Edward Goings. No maiden name has been found as yet for Chanea.
