I am contacting you about this profile: https://www.geni.com/people/Catharina-Sarah-Viviers/600000011770270...

Hello, please consider my suggestion that the baptism records show Catharina Sara NIELSON is not the mother of Jacoba Johanna and Sara Elisabeth Christiana Susanna WIWIGE (VIVIERS), but instead their mother is a hottentot called Saartjie:-

BAPTISM NOTES FOR CATHARINA SARA NIELSON, JACOBA JOHANNA VIVIERS AND SARA ELISABETH CHRISTIANA SUSANNA VIVIERS.

Her baptism took place when she was 26 years old on 26 DEC 1819.

She is described as a freeborn bastard Hottentot.

Her DNA Haplogroup is L0d2a1a which means she is of Southern African origin and that she has Khoi ancestry.

This ties up with the baptism record.

NOTE:- Based on the baptism records it is shown that she was not the mother of Jacoba Johanna WIWIGE (VIVIERS) and Sara Elisabeth Christiana Susanna WIWIGE

On the same day as her baptism 2 children were also baptised that were of the children of Jacobus WIWIGE (VIVIER) and the hottentot Saartjie. These 2 children were:-

1. Jacoba Johanna WIWIGE (VIVIER) born 1 JAN 1801, described as daughter born out of wedlock to Jacobus WIWIGE, living behind Plettenberg Bay o. George and the bastard hottentot Saartjie. Jacoba Johanna was around 18 years old when she was baptised. Catharina Sara NIELSON was 8 years old at the time of her birth and can therefore not be her mother.

2. Sara Elisabeth Christiana Susanna WIWIGE born on 7 OCT 1804, described as the daughter born out of wedlock of the above mentioned Jacobus WIWIGE and the hottentot Saartjie. Sara was around 15 years old when she was baptised. Catharina Sarah NIELSON was 11 years old at the time of her birth and could therefore not be her mother.

Hello,
I have added Saartjie as a partner for Jacobus VIVIERS and then added the daughters Jacoba Johanna and Sara Elisabeth Christiana Susanna. I also added the children for Jacoba Johanna as per the existing family tree.

I am however unable to remove Jacoba Johanna, her children and Sara Elisabeth Christiana Susanna from the existing tree where they are shown as the daughters of Jacobus and Catharina Sarah NIELSEN as I am not a manager of the profiles.

If anyone is able to remove them, please do so.

This should finalise the modifications to the tree according to the baptism records.

Kind regards,
Y. DROST

Sharon,

I had a look at the profiles and tried to disconnect them, but was not able to do so.

Regards.

Okay... I've just had an op - so pretty high on pain killers here - I'm going to have to be watched and talked through slowly :-)

Check now: Sara Elisabeth Christiana Susanna Viviers and Jacoba Johanna Viviers and Jacobus Albertus Viviers, b7c1d5

I uploaded the doc as well. Thank you for spotting :-)
