I'm Emily Chambers (Volz) a great-granddaughter of Carl Henrik Lind (1864-1949). He was the brother of your ancestor, Henrik Casimir Lind. I am trying to figure out the identity of the sire (or sires?) of these two brothers. To find a likely common ancestor, I've read that at least two direct male line descendants of the unknown person, (the sire of Henrik Casimir Lind, your common ancestor), take a Y-DNA test.
I saw that they are on sale at FTDNA if anyone wants to take it. One of your cousins, Alexander Lind, a grandson of Henrik Sture Robert Lind, took the Big-Y test recently. (I am the manager of his FTDNA site). He started with the Y-DNA 37 test and was predicted to be the ancient R-M198 haplogroup. After upgrading to the Big Y, his more up to date haplogroup is R-BY735305. FTDNA found over a 100 Y-DNA matches, but it remains unclear which line is correct, if any.
Any interest?
