My great-grandmother Julia Jane Sue (later called Charlotte) was the niece of Eugene Sue, perhaps through one of his half-brothers. I have searched Ancestry and Geni to find out more, but so far have been unsuccessful. I was told she was born in Sete in 1847 to an American mother and a French father. She emigrated to the US with her mother in around 1854. She married my great-grandfather Walter C. Cotton in 1869. I recently visited Annecy, where Eugene Sue is buried, and found his grave. I would appreciate any information you may have about his nieces or how to trace this and add it to my family tree.
