I have doubts about Jane's birth time. No-one has any sources as far as I can see and most people have just counted back 40 years from her death.
I have searched Ancestry for a baptismal record for Jane that would tell us who her parents were but the only baptism that I can find is one for 16 Mar 1777 in Clutton, Somerset with parents William and Elisabeth. There is a family tree on Ancestry that has the 1779 Bradford on Avon baptism and I have messaged the owner of the tree about his source but haven’t heard back yet.
I also searched FamilySearch and couldn’t find a profile for her.
I also checked Geneanet where the only reference to her is what I have uploaded.
I checked WikiTree for Jane Parfitt. There is no profile for her but lots about Parfitt’s in Trowbridge and Clutton.
There are no sources on Gni for her birth and the birthdate was added by Geni.
If we don't have a source for her birth or baptism then how can anyone be sure who her parents were?
