Willam Price / Maxton Co Tuscorora - Mother

If you go in the revisions tab and click on the nam "Mary "Molly" Mathis Price" you will be directed to Sarah Price who has even been noted as Mary Price, Tuscorroran. I suspect that was a fix based on the info below, but hey, I am buried in a report and don't know for sure what I am reading anymore.

The notes on Pugh's profile indicate that Pugh married

Husband of Sarah (Thornton) Price — married 1720 [location unknown]
Husband of Tabitha (Barrows) Price — married 1733 in Prince Edward County, Virginia
Husband of Jerusha (Penick) Price — married 21 Sep 1750 [location unknown]

Issue

by (1) Sarah, William Mary Ann Jane;
by (2) Pugh, Daniel b. 9 Jan 1736, died young, Michal, Phebe; John....

Will names
Sarah, William, Pugh, Michal, Phoebe, Tabitha, Elizabeth, Charles, Fanny, Judith, Patty, John, Daniel, Josiah, James, and an as yet unborn child.

Looks like folks would launch a discussion, but maybe they viewed it as cleanup.

I would never have considered Sarah (Thornton) Price to be the same person as Mary Price. Thanks for that info, Susanne!

I was checking for a revision note indicating a disconnect of Mary Price and she just seemed to vanish. I guess she just got absorbed as Sarah Thornton. As if tracing lines isn't challenging enough! lol

Again, thank you so much for that info. And, yeah, I wish even 'cleanup' efforts began with discussions.

I would ask Rachelle since she added this William Price. Thats what i would do...just send her a message. She didnt add Sarah, but i bet she knows.

Well, I'm assuming it's Rachelle's notes in William's profile that lists his mother as Mary, not Sarah. and that's what people are using in Ancestry trees. So we basically already know who Rachelle believes was his mother and I tend to trust her research over that of others. I was just surprised to see Mary was the mother and then she did a vanishing act and became Sarah. I'm keeping her as Mary in my Ancestry tree. I'll stay open-minded about it if someone can prove otherwise. lol

I also had the change in William's mother to Tabitha Barrows Price.

Just best for all to re check with her on all Old Cheraw lines. Some of my lines that arent even Old Cheraw are not correct here on geni. My tree that i use is on Ancestry.
