Is there a known explanation for why his surname changed from Willey to White? Was he adopted, changed his name (there's usually a reason given) or is he connected to the wrong parents?
Asking because he's in a tree I'm tracing a DNA match on and I'm only related to this Charles if he was, indeed, a biological Willey and son of the connected parents. Otherwise, I'm not. It's noteworthy that none of his siblings have the White surname, they're all Wileys.
There aren't any notes in his profile to shed light on the issue of the surname change, so thanks in advance for any clarification, documentation, etc.
