I'm wondering if this is the wrong Branch in this line.
"BRANCH, WILLIAM TULLY—Son of Dr. Isaac and Fannie Branch. His parents came from Vermont to Abbeville County, South Carolina, in 1825, and his father practiced medicine in Abbeville until 1872. W. T. Branch was born April 23. 1845. He attended the public school until sixteen years of age, and entered the South Carolina Military Academy, in 1862. In 1863, entered the Civil War with the South Carolina Military Cadets as a whole, and remained until the close of the war, Was under Brigadier-General Elliott, of Johnston's army. Surrendered at Hillsboro, North Carolina. In 1869, went into the insurance work, and has been at it ever since. He is Past Grand Master of Masons of South Carolina, Past Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of South Carolina. In June, 1870, married Miss Annie C. Wilson, of Greenwood, South Carolina. Lives at Abbeville, South Carolina. Are these the same people? It would make sense for WT Branch to be the father of Tully Branch Black
