Davis Fields

Thomas and Ann Fields b 1636 England immigrated to Charles City, VA in 1653. Their son, John, born 1661 Charles City, VA -arrived in Henrico County, VA in 1679 - He married Anne Moore. He was carpenter and was sued many times for non-payment of tobacco. He and Anne lost their land home and lived as tenants with sister, Mary Fields Jones & spouse Edward Jones. Edward took him to court for not keeping up his tenant home. Father, Thomas Fields b 1636
In 1679 Henrico County, VA assigned his children to John Davis, upon his death. He became guardian for Thomas and Ann's children, then John Davis died in 1684.
John Fields first appears in Varina Parish, VA, along with Henry Prewitt and Ed Jones. Both Prewitt and Jones married Fields sisters, Anne and Mary.There are several court and land records that bear out a relationship between them, as well as the Davis, Pleasants, Epes, and many other families.A John Davis is made guardian of the orphan children of a Thomas Fields.
