Where are the sources for Aquilla Compton being born in Maryland? Where are the sources showing that he lived in Maryland and then in Orange Co., NC? There is a Y-DNA Compton surname Project on Family Tree DNA, and male Compton descendants of an Aquilla Compton have been found to have a completely different haplogroup than the documented, proven male Compton descendants of John Compton Jr. (1756-1828) and his wife Eleanor McGuire of Maryland into Tazewell, VA... from which I descend. I have DNA proof and would love to compare other male Compton descendants results with my male Compton cousin's results.... Gedmatch is a good place to start. Thanks
