Harris Coleman is not the son of Daniel Coleman and Martha Harris. There is an age issue with Daniel having died many years before the birth of Harris. This seems to be from a Gedcom import gone wrong. Are there any sources?

The Colemans intersect the Floyds and Jernigans of Horry and Columbus County and they always need sorting out.

Profile managers are inactive. Hoping to engage them. Along with any other interested parties.

Chip Floyd, do you have anything on the Coleman lines? Working on some parts of your tree, Cousin.

Hi Susanne, I have roots in Columbus County, so quite a lot of interest in its history.

On page 77 of this document, both a "Daniel" and our "Harris Coleman, b. 1811" are sons of Amos Coleman and wife, Winnifred.

(I found a Georgia family with a Daniel Coleman and son Harris, not the same family, which may have caused some confusion.)

Thank, @Debra, that is what I thought too! Thanks for those sources. I will add and make the changes.

I have Coleman connections from research I can add to my tree. It can get confusing as there are two Coleman connections. One is my 2nd great grandmother(Everett's wife) and another is my great grandmother(Christopher Ross wife). So Christopher Ross's mother was a Coleman and he married a Coleman but are from to different lines at first glance.

Yes, I found those. Go check out your tree now and see how it has grown, Chip Floyd. Profiles are there waiting for your info to add in the about. I put the Find a Grave or Family Search items as I came across and confirmed cross-referencing some other records. Floyds and Coleman branches are getting to the point they are better.

I will message you on a couple of other lines. Need more info. :-)
