Geni points out an inconsistency with her age when married, which would have been 11.

This census record says she is 20 and John is 24, and that she was born around 1900, and that they have several children, including an 11 year son, J.D. Carpenter

I don't know how to reconcile this data. An age of about 10 years older than the census record would make much more sense.

Must be a different couple's marriage record or Bessie's DOB is way off... the obit says she was 60

Differentiated last month...
Will work on them again!
I removed that marriage notation as it cannot be them and I did see there's a document so the date is very clearly 1906.

I'll get her marriages sorted... I'll be back
