I have an article in this issue entitled: “Kojetin, Stankov and Domazlice.” It builds on an earlier article I published in Dorot entitled “The Genealogical Relevance of the Czech Torah Scrolls.” This latest article describes the trips we took to these towns and provides further details on the relevance of the Torah scrolls.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your interesting article. I have an interest in Kojetin because my 3GF Yitzak Moses Perls was rabbi there. You mention two of your ancestors served in that role there and I was wondering what years.

You also mention Ekstein/Eckstein relatives - on of YM Perls son's married an Ekstein, however, she was from Moravia, not Bohemia.

Regarding the scrolls, I tried to view the Kojetin scroll when I was visiting Sydney a couple of years ago, however, there was a mishap with the person that was meeting me so I missed out.
