Will be working through lines of William Green, Sr and Elizabeth Green of Prince George Parish to clean up and update sources. Some profiles have been merged "to death" and need some TLC. This is a family of patriots of the American Revolution that has not been fully documented through Geni projects.

Working with Ron Green Jr to ensure accuracy. Connections into my Sarvis and Reaves lines with possible connections to Johns family that need to be worked out.

Will be posting any work/needs for information in this discussion.

Project created here https://www.geni.com/projects/Green-Family-of-Georgetown-District-S...

Worked on these profiles yesterday. Some are collateral lines. Found some wills and other documents in the SC Archives that helped. Check Source tab where applicable. Still working and adding.

John Green of Prince George Parish

Elizabeth Green of Prince George Parish

Their children named in John's will:

William Green, Sr

Hannah Smith

Sarah Meginny

Elizabeth Green

John Green, Jr.

Richard Green

Additional research is being added to the above and will need disambiguation as names appear in later generations and lines multiple times. But a will is a start.

Have been working on the children of William Green, Sr and his first wife Lydia Green

So far, PVT. William Green, Sr. and wife Pheriby Green

Tabitha Futhey - McCottry and her spouses Capt. John Futhey and Capt. William McCottry

The McCottry family is a side walk into Williamsburg County - and deserved some attention.

History of Williamsburg County, SC by William Willis Boddie.

John Green does not appear to be the son of William Green, Sr and Lydia Green Their son John Green died as an infant and is buried here

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/226062225/john_green. It was probably why William and his second wife Jane named a child John Thomson Green. The elder was long passed and there would be little if no confusion as well as a memorial to the child. Jane and William named a daughter after William's deceased 1st wife, a not uncommon custom when their were young children in the house from the 1st marriage.

Wiki Tree https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Green-1691 gives a possible option for parents for the John Green that does not belong to William and Lydia.

Josiah Green and Catherine Beal. More research needed.
