As you can see, I kind of messed up this e-mail -- so sorry. I must have pushed the wrong button and off they went. "I" is Gene's wife, Mary who is sending this on to you.
To continue; Gene and Ralph were best friends at Norwich -- he was an usher in our wedding --December 1956. We have visited Arlington. I still have the last letter that he wrote us.
Several years ago, when we still lived in Cherry Hill, NJ, I received a very nice letter from Ralph's sister. It was at the time of your grandmother's death. I also received a nice letter from Ralph's brother at the time a memorial plaque was placed in Norwich's Chapel for those Cadets who had died in the war.

I thought ,it would be of interest to you and to your family to know that there is also a very nice Norwich Plaque in a very, very nice building on Route 89 dedicated to those same Cadets. The rest area is dedicated to The Vietnam Veterans. We often stop there on our way back and forth to Northfield. You can't miss it -- it is on a hill -- the first such area after you drive into Vermont from NH.

Gene and I had a Memorial Bench placed in the Norwich University Cemetery in memory of Ralph. It has been there for several years. Gene and I will be buried there -- our monument has been placed there--not far from the memorial benches.

I see your name is Warren Donnelly -- it might have been your Mother who wrote me in New Jersey.

Gene and I were pleased when we saw Ralph's database page -- well done. We think of him often.
