I am having a problem since the latest round of revisions. When I type in the burial location for an ancestor, the program automatically changes the place of birth and place of death to the burial location. Just because an ancestor was buried in Lawrence County, KY does not mean they died in Lawrence Co., KY and it certainly does not mean that the person was born anywhere in Kentucky.

This has been happening for 2 or 3 days now, as I am working with the Boggs-Blevins tree in the 1800's. [most recent - Hugh R. Boggs]

Has anyone else experienced this?

Nope, - are you using the simple location fields which uses Google Map to come with suggestions?

Well, - don't.... - There are to many false hits involved there and naturally no support of historical names.

It is better to click on the "> Edit Location Details" link under the fields and fill in whatever you want.

BTW: The reason YOU get a suggestion on a value you recently have typed in is probably because you have enabled auto-complete in the browser you are using.

The auto-complete does always suggest phrases you have typed in before, so technically it is a "problem" on your own computer, not Geni.

When Geni went down on Sat. it came back up with a bug in it in Ga. and Ala. It took me about 3 hours to find it and get rid of it. It was some company trying to sell you something to keep bug out and they were the one that had put the bug in. It would stop internet explorer stop working whenever you started to do anything in Geni. So I got rid of internet explorer and reloaded it and when it came back up it told me that that program was trying to load and did I want to stop it. So I told it to stop it and I have not had any more trouble from it . But since Geni went down and came back up I am having trouble with it sending pictures to the wrong profile most of the time.
