I just came into contact with another guy researching "Grobe". and this family. They came to the US in Sprmg 1852 from Grossfahner, Germany, lived briefly in Wisconsin before moving to southeast Minnesota. By 1860 the family was in Mower County, MN and in 1870 the parents passed away but the sons lived in Winona, MN. They changed their names to Grobey. (Two sons) I believe. So I wonder if this Grobe family of 1852 settled in Rib Lake, Wisconsin like Fritz Martin did?
