How far back does "relatives" go?

I encountered an oddity today ....

I got a "hotmatch" in my "relatives" merge center for Peder Jensen, my 10th grandfather.

The issue was a merge that needed to be completed on my 9th grandfather - but there was no listing in my "relatives" merge center for that conflict.

how far back is the "relatives" merge center supposed to go?

This is not an answer to your question, but it is interesting to know he is your 10th grandfather and my 12th great grandfather.

Please check your relationship again.

Generation skew is common. I just merged a 9th grandfather and a 10th grandfather.

Our closest common ancestor in this line is Jens Pedersen Schjelderup.
