
Catawba are federally recognized. The profile photo is of the Catawba Lands Conservancy at their project on farming held at the historical land conservancy of Laurel Hills Farm, which has the old Kateras graveyard back when the Issa and Kateras mined next to the Tsalagi back in the Spanish claimant era.

The Waxhaws--- Eastern Siouan Commonalities are in the oldest map available to us, showing the BWAAN / Algonquian version is Bwananay (the real word for what the people called themselves instead of the word, Siouan, which is French meaning, Snakes.
