Catherine Jacobs b. 1886 in Whitechapel, Middlesex, London, England. Her mother's name was Esther Cohen Jacobs. She had two brothers, George and John Jacobs. She married. Mark Isaacs who was born in 1885, in Spitalfields Whitechapel Middlesex, London England. He and Catherine. They had two children Esther b. 1908 and William Isaacs b. 1910. Both in Whitechapel. They all died in Los Angeles, California, USA, except Esther. She died in Washington state. They had a relative, Morris Jacobs in Chicago who changed his name to Morris Ashley. Then Mark, Catherine, William and Esther changed their names to Ashley also. They came on the Mauritania around 1916 and settled in Chicago where Morris and George Jacobs were. George Jacobs married Bertha (I think that was her name) as they called her Bertie. They had a daughter later in life named Kay. George, Mark, Catherine, Esther and William moved out to California. George went to Long Beach, I think, while Mark's family went to Los Angeles. Esther got some parts in Hollywood and went by the stage name of Rita da Costa. Catherine died in 1939 and is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery , Glendale, California. Mark , I believe died in 1962.
