The Hungarian Tree has a lot of duplicate trees being entered under different names which means that

  • Geni automatic searching cannot find the profiles
  • Geni users cannot manually find the profiles
  • Once located and merged they create data conflicts

Users who enter in source documents via

  • adding links to the profiles
  • adding documents
  • adding photographs of documents are having their sourced data overwritten / changed by unsourced data leaving them frustrated and having to redo their work.

This project is to foster a change in the Hungarian Tree, having Geni users add more source documentation.

If you go to the trouble and extra work of adding a source - I will assist you by locking those fields in the profile, meaning that the value cannot be changed without a discussion and sources being provided.

Come join me and let's make the Hungarian Tree something to be proud of.
