What is the source for Rebecca being Richard Owen's wife?

What I have on sources is posted at or linked to at
www.multiwords.de/genealogy/Ow7JeremiahOwens.html
But for the Richard Owens of King George Co VA b 1689 d 1762/3
I show Sarah Elizabeth Rowland b 9 Aug 1689 Goochland Co VA d 27 Aug 1752 Halifax Co VA as his wife.

Wow, you have an incredible site! I was unable to find sources, however. As to the wife of Richard Owen, my 6g grandfa, [b c1675-79; d will dated 27 Aug 1753, probated 17 Jun 1756 Halifax Co, VA] he was NOT married to Elizabeth Rowland. A different Richard Owen m an Elizabeth Rowland many years after "our" Richard had died. See Jane Hillard Owen's definitive article on same (she died in 2016 at age 89--an Owen authority). I tried to post it here--could not do so. See "Owen Family News," March 2005, Vol. 20, Issue 1, page 6. Jane says we'll never know our Elizabeth's maiden name--it is lost to history. Note: In the probate of Richard's will on 17 Jun 1756, it is stated: "Elizabeth Owen, Widow, Relict and Executrix of the Testator therein also appointed being Dead..." So we know the 3-year timeframe in which Elizabeth died.

I don’t believe this Richard Owen of Halifax (married Elizabeth) is the son of John Owens & Rebecca Owens and have disconnected.

John Owens had a son called Richard (married Mary Berry), of King George County.

Richard Owens, Sr. & Mary Owens

This is from “ This is from the _Owens Family of Virginia and Kentucky_, 2nd Edition, November 1991. by David Hatfield OWENS ... It is very well researched, with notes, sources, etc."
