I'm having a hard time verifying whether her birth name was just Louise, or Pheraby Annie Louise. It wouldn't be too surprising that she had the exact same name as her grandmother, Pheraby Annie Louise Ogletree. But it could also be that it's also that the data about her grandmother leaked into her record at some point.
The fact that her gravestone only reads "Louise Hicks Mock," and that my dad only ever knew her as Louise, is what makes me question this. I also was contacted by a distant Hicks relative on Ancestry.com who has no record of a Pheraby Annie Louise Hicks in that family, and messaged me asking about her.
I need to find some birth, marriage or census records for her that help clarify this.
