Hi. I am Helen Winifred Robinson's great-grandaughter. My father was Sidney Charles Robinson, 2nd son of William George and Helen Victoria Robinson (nee Cowdrey). Helen has always been a mystery in our family. We knew that there was court case when she left Richard Robinson but have no information about her after that - indeed I recall that my grandfather didn't seem to know what became of her after she left him and his sister in late 1882. I am interested to note that she died in 1894 in the Wairarapa. Why then is there no record of her death on the births, deaths and marriages website? My 'poppa' was a gentle soul who had a hard life after his mother left. Helen was very young and we understand that Richard Robinson was not an easy man to get along with and it would mean a great deal to me if we could find out more about her. Thanks
