I'm not positive on WIlliams middle name or William Leland Howden has A Rootsweb with great Info.
However not sure if all is right we ordered a Howdens of America book in the 90's that showed a Robert Howden In America as early as the 1600's Its possible they could had but depending on which Howden's which all seemed to pretty much live around the same areas around Ontario Lake and possible could had caught a boat from Quebec or went back n forth or family come at Separate times I'm just not sure they weren't in America before that traveling or staying there. I think I' finding Howdens in North Dakota Also that aren't looing familiar r in cemeteries in Michigan and such that names do look familiar .There are probably 2 Williams in America seeming to be going towards Canada Earlier than the supposed Migration From Londonderry Ireland to Canada Prior to 1835. I'm not for sure who Williams Parents or siblings were.
I have found wills and stuff in Ireland also but think they would be wrong for births
