Elizabeth is my 7th great-grandmother.

In both Colonial Families of the USA (attached), and A Biographical Dictionary of the Maryland Legislature 1635-1789 (attached), her maiden surname is given as "Lawson."

I do not see any sourcing for the proposal that she was married to a "Lawson" prior to her marriage to Henry Sewell. Is there a source for this?

"Early Colonial Settlers" says she had no first husband and was a Fowke, daughter of Gerard Fowke and Sarah Burditt; but I don't know how they came up with this.

On the other hand, the Miles Files claim that Elizabeth Fowke, daughter of Geral/rd Fowke and Sarah Burdett, died unmarried. https://espl-genealogy.org/MilesFiles/site/p848.htm#i84791

Philip Lee's will had this curious provision regarding his wife: "Item, I give to my said Wife during her life, if she continues a Protestant, that Tract of Land Called Barthope and the addition (I bought of Maj'r or Capt. Samuel Perry) for raising a Stock for support of my younger Children." (What was she earlier - Catholic? Quaker?)

That will provision is certainly interesting. Early Maryland was a haven for Catholics, and people in Virginia got into trouble for not tithing to the Church of England at that time, bringing potential reputational damage. Not sure if either has anything to do with it, but it's possible.

There is a possible Elizabeth among the children of Rowland Lawson and Jane Glasscock, of Lancaster County, VA, but there is very little information on her and none about whom, or if, she married. https://colonial-settlers-md-va.us/getperson.php?personID=I69778&am...

Yes - in my own tree, I have these as hypotheses, but I have not found any sources for it, either.

Lots of Quakers in early Maryland, too, especially in Anne Arundel County.
