In the Osborne Coat of Arms by Fairbaines: The animal above the helm is the first indication that the Osbornes of Kelmarsh, Doddington, and St. Ives are related somewhere along the older branches to Thomas Osborne, 1st Duke of Leeds, 2nd baronet of Kiveton.
The Moto is also PAX IN BELLO in both families. In the Osbornes of Kelmarsh, Northamptonshire, their descendants first went to Doddington, after that to St. Ives.
