This Richard Crouch’s marriage to Elizabeth Yaxley is proved by two Richmond, Henrico County, Virginia land indentures.

This 1st land indenture dated 25 March 1807 Richmond City, VA Hustings Deeds No. 5, p.61-63 Robert Crouch and Elizabeth his wife sell to Benjamin Mosley of Powhatan sell land that had belonged to Robert Yaxley, which he had left to his wife Sarah Yaxley during her widowhood and after her death to her daughter Elizabeth Yaxley. Robert Crouch as a son, one of the heirs of Elizabeth who intermarried with Richard Crouch, father of said Robert Crouch.

The 2nd land indenture dated 15 August 1836 Richmond City, VA, Hustings Deeds No. 36 p 247 Elizabeth Smith of Goochland Co., VA sells to Thomas and Richard Crouch of the City of Richmond sells her 1/6th part of the lot she had inherited from her grandfather Robert Yaxley, being her part of the lot she’d jointly inherited with Robert Crouch, Stephen Crouch, Richard Crouch, John Crouch, Sarah Flournoy, and Polly Mosley.
