I believe that the earliest known family who inhabited the village of Tombovo within the District of Penampang, Sabah formerly called North Borneo, was the Subau and Suntoi Family. This was in the 1840s. The British North Borneo Chartered Company was not even in existence then.

If you know of any family the members of which believe that their family was the earliest inhabitants of this village, please let us know.

By the way, there are presently three small villages, namely, Tombovo, Potuki and Kapazan.

Further, if you know of any story or legend about this place, please share it with others. It will be very interesting indeed.
