RESEARCH Abigail's PARENTAGE

A) Abigail, believe last name of "Bizell" 1729-1810 (parentage unknown) was married to THIS Ichabod Welles (b 6May1722 - d 30May1800) son of Johnathan Welles 1689-1752 and Ruth Bull 1692) and grandson of Ichabod Welles and Sarah Way; descendant of Thomas - 2nd son of Gov. Welles detailed in Hartford Family line by Nathaniel Goodwin.

B) Abigail "Bigelow" (presumed daughter of a Joseph Bigelow 1690-1733 and Sarah Spencer) married a DIFFERENT Ichabod Welles (1712-1758) son of Capt Thomas Welles 1662-1711 and Jerusha Treat (his 2nd marriage after Thankful Root d-1704; before her marriage to Ephraim Goodrich). Her Ichabod is a grandson of Honorable Samuel Welles - 3rd son of Gov Thomas Welles

Both Ichabod Welles are descendants of Gov Thomas Welles, and each were married to Abigails and had children in mid 1750s,

It is vital for me to retain Abigail Welles (Bizell or Bigelow if I am incorrect) m. Ichabod (son of Jonathan and Ruth) in my tree - PLEASE DO NOT MERGE with a supposed duplicate profile until this parentage is settled.

An Abigail Welles (Bigelow) is a distinct person and should remain in tact for other folks' other trees.

In the meantime, I have carefully created an entire NEW profile for the correct Abigail Bigelow m. Ichabod (son of Thomas and Jerusha) and have labored to input full pedigree for her Ichabod up to Gov Welles and known children (not direct to me to ensure that is preserved0. Some duplicates may have been created that could easily be merged.

It may be necessary to REMOVE this Abigail from BIGELOW heritage unless others can help us correct any error.
