Jewish descent. Albert Meyer ran a law firm, after his father Aron Simon Meyer (1824–1887), he was a co-owner of the Bankhaus Meyer und Gelhorn banking house in Danzig, in the brewery in Wrzeszcz ( Danziger Aktien-Bierbrauerei ). He was entrusted with the function of the Spanish consul in Danzig (1896–1915) [1] , Danzig councilor (1897–1915) [2] , and a member of the Council of Representatives of the Jewish community in Danzig. He funded a bust of mayor Heinrich Ehlers, placed in the Main Town Hall . He is buried in the cemetery in Gdańsk Chełm.
