Ann died of injuries sustained during the murder of her husband (Aug 11, 1861)(CIVIL WAR). The exact location of their burial is unknown. The area where they lived was know as Valley Forge. Today their is the "Pickles Nature Preserve" (Hawn State Park) which is named in honor of this family.
