184 F iii Malinda Dennis was born about 1815.  185 M iv Henry J. Dennis was born on 21 Dec 1818. He died on 13 Mar 1896.
186 M v William P. Dennis 1 was born 2 in 1824 in Chatham Co., North Carolina.

In 1860 she is found living next to her daughter, Luranna Stuart. Her son, William is still at home. Unfortunately, the 1860 of Chatham Co. does not even show the on the page showing Anna Dennis.

Anna married 1 Anderson Dennis son of Joseph Dennis and Mary on 12 Oct 1803 in Cumberland Co., North Carolina. Anderson was born in Cumberland Co., North Carolina. He died about 1829.

Will of Anderson Dennis dated 11 Mar. 1829

In the name of God, Amen, this eleventh day of March A. D. One thousand eight hundred twentynine I, Anderson Dennis of the county of Chatham & State of North Carolina being in a declining state of health, but in sound mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same, do make this my last will and testament in form and manner as follows, viz.

First I recommend my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian manner and my soul unto the hands of Almighty God that gave it and touching such worldly goods at it both pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose of the same after paying my just debts and burial expenses in the following manner (to wit).

Item 1. I lend unto my dearly beloved wife Anna Dennis the plantation whereon I now live containing 302 1/2 acres more or less, four negroes namely, Robert, Celia, Sarah & Mariah, and their increase with the exception of child Sarah is now lusty with which is to be my daughter Malinda's, all of my stock of cattle, hogs and two mares namely Pigeon and Fly, plantation utensils, household and kitchen furniture and plenteous part of my provisions for the support of my wife and family for one year during her natural life or widowhood and then to be sold and equally divided among my children and their heirs with the exception of the land and child as above mentioned.

Item 2nd I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved son Elisha Dennis one negro man called Squire one tract of land lying in Cumberland County containing one hundred and sixty-six acres, one sorrel horse, bridle and saddle one cow & calf, sow & pigs, bed & furniture and every other article which I have given him to keep house all of which he has in possession.

Item 3rd. I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved daughter Susanny Stuart two negro girls namely Esther & Mariah, one bed and furniture, one horse bridle and saddle, one cow & calf one sow and pigs, and every other article which I have given her to keep house upon all of which she has in possession except horse bridle & saddle, and Mariah which she is to have at the death of my wife.

Item 4th. I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved son William P. Dennis one tract of land called the Sexton place containing one hundred and twenty- five acres the same more or less adjoining James Rollins and others, one negro boy Jerry one sorrel filly named Diner, bridle and saddle, one bed and furniture, one cow & calf, sow and pigs and one half of the tract of land his mother lives upon at her death.

Item 5th. I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved daughter Malinda Dennis one negro girl named Mary and the child Sarah is now lusty with if it lives and does well, if not to be made equal with Susanny out of the property to be sold before the division, one horse bridle and saddle, one cow & calf, sow and pigs, one bed & furniture.

Item 6th. I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved son Henry J. Dennis one tract called the Thomas tract containing one hundred acres the same more or less adjoining Willie Jones and others, one negro boy named Merritt and half of the land my wife lives upon at her death one horse bridle & saddle, bed & furniture, cow & calf, sow & pigs and one hundred dollars to school and board him to be paid out of my estate as my executors see proper.

Item I leave my negro Charles in the hands of my executors to hire out until my children comes of age, or sell if necessity requires it and to be applied to the use of my children. And I appoint my worthy friend Burwell Rollins to be whole & soul executor to this my last will and testament, and do revoke and disannul all other wills heretofore made by me. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the day and year above written.

The foregoing last will and testament of Anderson Dennis was duly proved in open court by the oath of Avent Cotton a subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be recorded whereupon Burwell Rollins the executor therein named appeared in court and was duly qualified.

They had the following children:

 183 F ii Luranna (Susanna) Dennis was born in 1810. She died before 1880.  
 184 F iii Malinda Dennis was born about 1815.  
 185 M iv Henry J. Dennis was born on 21 Dec 1818. He died on 13 Mar 1896.  
 186 M v William P. Dennis 1 was born 2 in 1824 in Chatham Co., North Carolina. 

He died single without issue.
