The above photo was found on Family Search.org and depicts the extended family of Charles Hewitt Hilton and his wife Anna Lovina Johnson Hilton. Even though they only had one daughter, Edith Jane Hilton, and Charles died when Edith Jane was only four years old, Edith Jane married Franklin Cheney, and they had 8 children. Shown in the photo are Anna and her daughter Edith and Edith's children and grandchildren. The people identified in the photo are, left to right, standing: Ruth Frances Libby, wife of Edith's son, John Hugh Cheney, who is standing next Ruth and holding their son Harlow. Next is Eloise Sanders, the wife of Edith's son, Vernon Elam Cheney, standing next to Eloise, holding their son Vernel Cheney. Next is Allie Jensen, the wife of Edith's son, Leo Hilton Cheney. Next is Anna Lovina Johnson Hilton and next to her is her daughter Edith and standing next to them is Edith's husband Franklin Cheney. Next is Ronald Aaron Cheney, standing next to brother Jesse Wimmer Cheney, and next is their sister, Edith Lavinnie Cheney, and her husband Francis Cheney. Not all of the children in the foreground are identified, but the ones who are Lamar Hilton Cheney, seated second from the left, and next to him is Arnold Neldon Cheney, then Vao Leroy Cheney, Lyle Rue Cheney and Ilda Vee Cheney. The photo may have been taken during a family reunion in Oakland, California, in 1926.
