About Anna Agnes Heilbronner
Per Tania Kraus, Anne's granddaughter, writing in November 2020
Yes, Anna was in Munich in spring 46 because my parents married in Munich in June 46 and she was there. My mother went to the US pretty quickly (month?) and I was born Feb 1947. Yes, I'm sure she lived with Erwin and Sofie at that time. AND with Erwin's second wife, Bella (I can't remember Bella's maiden name, can find it in archives about the Bauhaus where she did weaving). My Grandmother Anna returned to Germany from Ibiza in 1934 or 35 after separating from Erwin. My mother stayed in Ibiza and went to school there from 33 to 36. Then she returned, summer 36 to Germany to visit her mother for vacation and couldn't come back to Ibiza because of the Spanish Civil War. I am sure I was about 3 when Anna came to the US.
- Furthermore - I know my grandmother Anna Wittmer Heilbronner was born in Mannheim, lived in different places, among which Ibiza when she, Erwin and my mother left in 1933. At the end of the war she was living in Munich, or maybe a suburb of Munich: maybe Solln? Did she move somewhere else in Germany before coming to the US in 1950 or not? I don't know.
