Death of Annie Longfellow Pierce Occurs at Portland, Me.
PORTLAND, Me., Jan. 25--Annie Longfellow Pierce, aged 90 years and 10 months, died this morning. She was a sister of the poet and the widow of George W. Pierce.
She lived in the Longfellow house on Congress st. 87 out of her 90 years of life, and the historic building, the early home, but not the birthplace of the poet, will now pass to the Maine historical society. __________________________________
