About Anthony Frank Boric
Anthony Boric (born 27 December 1983 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a rugby union player who played for the Blues in the Super 14 competition and will play for the Mitsubishi Dynaboars after the 2013 Super 14 season. He also plays for the North Harbour Marist. He plays as a lock. On 1 June 2008, Boric became a New Zealand All Black for the first time.
Boric is of Croatian ancestry.
Boric made his first appearance as an All Black coming on as a substitute against England on 13 June 2008. Boric scored his first Test try versus Scotland on 8 November 2008.
Boric, or AB as he is known by his team mates in the North Harbour Marist team, went to school at Rosmini College, in Takapuna, North Shore City, Auckland, New Zealand. In his seventh form year, he was Head Boy of the college. He is one of five All Blacks to go to Rosmini, including Rudi Wulf who also debuted for All Blacks in 2008. He is studying Civil Engineering at the University of Auckland.
He currently plays club rugby with the North Harbour Marist club, with fellow All Blacks Tony Woodcock, Rudi Wulf and others.
