About Antoine Bonneau, Sr.

Records transcribed below indicate that Anthoine Bonneau, a French Hueguenot from La Rochelle, France, fled with his wife and other family members In 1685.

He and his family were apparently living on the French Caribbean Island of Martinique at the time they fled to Charles Town, South Carolina. (now Charleston). "History of the Huguenot Emigration To America" indicates that "Among the inhabitants of Martinique in 1671 were Antoine Bonneau ..."
