She married Eliphalet on August 26, 1855. The morning after their wedding, Eliphalet and Arabella along with her parents and sister left Beloit, WI, for the territory of northeastern IA [Now the Howard County, IA, area]. Eliphalet and Arabella moved on to MN leaving behind the parents and sister and then returned to IA. In 1882, the DUNN family left from Newell, IA, for NE, settling in Pleasant Valley, Loup County, NE. Here Eliphalet was broke after losing all his cattle in the blizzard of 1888. Soon afterwards, the DUNN family arrived in Buffalo Flats, NE, and settled on school land four miles southeast of the Purdum settlement.
