Axel Konrad Armstrong / Hamstrom

In eucharist book of 1870-78 noted as "fosterson/dotterson, sjöman" (fosterson/daughter's son and seaman). First family name noted as "Fagerström" and (later) added name "Hamström", supposedly an invented name in the 1870'ies.

Speculative theory: a combination of grandmother's name Hamberg and grandfather's name Fagerström, invented to sound good in English. Fagerström could have sounded like "faker strom"

Went to Australia in about 1880. First marriage in Sydney in 1890
