David Bernard Stringer, son of William Henry and Mary Stringer, was born in town of Lima, Pepin county, Sept. 6, 1886. When seven years old he moved with his parents to Mondovi, on to the farm now occupied by his brother William H. Stringer.
On June 23, 1920, he was united in marriage with Ida Thompson of the town of Drammen. To this union two children were born, Frances Lenore and Ione Deloris. He has been ill for about a year and passed away Thursday, April 21, 1938 at 6:25 pm.
Besides his wife and daughters he also leaves to mourn his death, two sisters, Mrs. Fred Clafin, Mrs. Claire Saxe and one brother Wm H. Stringer of Mondovi.
Funeral services were held from the home at 2 o'clock Saturday, April 23, Rev A. G. Hemer, officiating. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery. Hugh Trowbridge, John Dillion and K.T. Jacobson sung appropriate hymns.
