Domenico Rosa

Also known as Josip Cigancic or Joseph Macer Zeganzig according to the Dutch East India Company (VOC) documents. However neither surname is correct or found in the Rijeka region. The closest valid surname is Ciganovic, which translates as "son of the gypsy". It is possible that he has signed up with the VOC using an alias, and later reverted to his real surname ROSA. The 1948 census of the region lists two families with that surname as being resident in the region
