Done Lyon, his father (with consent of Marget Campbell, his mother, having the conjunct fee) "of ane foyr tenement, with bak tenement and pertinens, lyand in the Grayfreyr Wynd of Glasgw, betuixt the landis of the almus howse of the sowtht, and the common gaet on the northt and eyst." Thereafter, Archibald Lyon, with consent of Marget Campbell, his mother, sold the property to master Patrick McClane and Janet Lyon, his spouse, and l.l., to whom the bailie gave sasine. John Wan, citizen of Glasgow, ratified and approved the sale of an annualrent of 40 s. payable furth of a tennement, fore and back, lying on the west side of the street leading from the metropolitan church to the market cross, between the tenements of q[uondam]. 18 November 1571: Charter by which Master Archibald Douglas, rector and canon of Glasgow, confirms that he has given a feu charter for the lands of Personisland, next to Brumelandis, to Archibald Lyon, burgess of Glasgow, which land had previously been held by Archibald and his father (Donald Lyon] Registrum Magni Sigilli Regum Scotorum.
