Donald Howard Weed, Sr.

Age 71, of North East, son of the late Floyd E. and Helen E. Eades Weed. He was a lifetime resident of North East. Donald was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Navy. He was a member of the U.S.S. Gearing Association. He was a member of the North East American Legion Post 105. He also was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in North East. Formerly employed at Keystone Foods and the Electric Material Company in North East for 36 1/2 years retiring in 1991. He had volunteered at Brevillier Village for several years and was a bingo caller for the senior citizens in North East.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Martha C. Beebe Weed who he married September 17, 1954; two sons, Donald Weed, Jr. and wife Maria of Bloomfield, Colorado, David Weed and wife Pam of Maine; a daughter, Diane Cruz and husband Emilio of Erie; sister, Evelyn Arnhold of North East; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
