About Dorothy Jacoba (Dolly) Rossouw (Davidson)
Dolly was much loved by her grandchildren who she adored. She didn't have the means to look after her son Gerald who went to live with his aunt Jemima (Jim) Cronning (Davidson) in Kimberly.
Dolly was married in 1910 at only 16 years old. She was reluctant to marry and it was offered that she could stay with her Granparents, thought to be the Birds, in England but Dolly's mother insisted on the marriage.
Dolly and her husband ran a "native trading stall". They were poor.
