IN Memory of Elizabeth Grimes Late Consort of Samuel Grimes Who Departed This Life the __ of Sept 179_ Aged 3_ years

In the Early History of Old Hanover Church, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, by Rev. Thomas H. Robinson, D.D., published in 1878 by the Historical Society of Dauphin County, page 35, gives Elizabeth's dates as: 1767 - 4 Oct 1792. The day (in Sep) and last # in the year appear to be the same, maybe a 2 or a fancy 4. Either 2 Sep 1792 or 4 Sep 1794. The month is definitely Sept and not Oct. It could say, aged 35 years. A rubbing may confirm the correct numbers. For the sake of this site, I left the dates the same as in this book, correcting only the month September.
