About Hannah Skinner

Abraham Skinner, son of Thomas Skinner of Malden & Mary Godden, was baptized on September 29, 1649 at Pallant Parish, Chichester, England.

He married Hannah Lewis. Abraham died between 1693 and 1698. Hannah died on January 14, 1725/26 at Malden. Hannah was admitted to the Church at Rumney Marsh on October 20, 1717. According to records at Rumney Marsh (now Chelsea), Massachusetts, dated May 24, 1719, the children Abraham, Thomas and Mary Skinner, all of Malden, were baptized and received to Communion. (7)

Abraham Skinner served with Capt. Prentice in the first Mount Hope Campaign, September 21, 1675, during King Philip’s War. (8), (9)

His son Abraham was his representative among the grantees of Narragansett No. 2 in 1732. An Abraham Skinner, probably a grandson of this Abraham, married Anna Emmes [Eames] on March 13, 1739 at Malden, Massachusetts. (10)
